Iberia 747-256B
Iberia 747-256B regististration EC-DIB on early morning finals.In May 1980, Iberia launched its Boeing 747-256B with this aircraft named "Cervantes",the second of a total of six new-generation jumbos.Compared to its predecessor 747-100,the 200 had first and foremost an improved range.Finally,major destinations like Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile could be reached nonstop.After twenty-five years of service,Iberia retired its last 747-200 on May 17,2005.Ten A340-600s are now operated on longhaul routes.
