A340-313321 viewsThe managment of the Austrian national airline doesn't like to hear the somewhat ambiguous abbreviation of"AUA" today.The airline's already positive image has been further promoted with additional special liveries.What could serve better than Austria's musical classics?The Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra,one of the best and most famous orchestras worldwide,is at home in the alpine republic.Since January 10th 2006,The Airbus A340-313 with the name of "America"has been flying with the emblem of the Wiener Philharmoniker, and the display of classic instruments along the fuselage,she will fly for one year in this livery,and transport the orchestra again and again to it's concert tours around the world.

Gulf Air A340-312426 viewsDelivered to Gulf Air on 30/6/1995,this A340 was one of four aircraft in their fleet to be painted in "50th Anniversary" colors in 2000.The others were a B767,A320 and an A330,with each aircraft wearing a different livery.In July 1995 this aircraft was leased to Phillipine Airlines and returned to Gulf Air in July 1996.On 3/10/2007 the registration changed to A9C-LD,and still flies with the airline in their new colors.
